Create a partnership with Myriad Europe for your philanthropic activities

Would your company like to structure its philanthropic activities in some way and, in order to do so, establish a partnership with Myriad Europe?

A corporate Fund enables your company to invest effectively in one or more good causes in Belgium and/or abroad. Furthermore, such a Fund helps strengthen your corporate image among your clients, shareholders and personnel.

Over many years, Myriad Europe, under the name of King Baudouin Foundation, has acquired extensive experience in creating partnerships with businesses and in the creation and management of corporate Funds. We also create synergy between the Foundation’s various Funds and programmes so as to increase the impact of their activities.

How Does it work?

Why set up a Fund?

Companies wishing to structure their corporate philanthropy around specific social, cultural, or environmental objectives may choose to create their own foundation. However, establishing and managing a foundation involves significant legal, administrative, and governance requirements.
Setting up a Corporate Fund within Myriad Europe offers a flexible and efficient alternative with fewer formalities.

Myriad Europe’s Centre for Philanthropy provides expert advice and takes care of administrative and legal management, as well as helping to ensure continuity. The Funds form an integral part of Myriad Europe, which remains legally responsible for all the transactions and financial undertakings of the Funds.

Myriad Europe’s Centre for Philanthropy provides Funds with a secretarial service to provide general coordination and day-to-day management.

Duration

A corporate Fund has a duration of at least three years but this period may be extended.

Contributing assets

The Fund must be endowed with a minimum annual contribution of 50,000 euros. Each year, the King Baudouin Foundation is authorized to allocate part of the resources to cover its general operating costs. This deduction is calculated on a degressive basis: 5% on the first 100,000 euros of each individual expenditure, 3% on the next 400,000 euros, 1% on the next 500,000 euros, and 0.5% above 1,000,000 euros, with a fixed minimum of 10,000 euros per year.
